Peterson Teacher Statement

I have been teaching art for 21 years. I love that every day is different and that my students help to keep me young! I would like my students to always have art be a part of their lives and to realize that art is and has always been all around them.

Van Campen Teacher Statement

I have been teaching Art for the last 15 years at Oswego High School and I’ve never felt more passionate or confident as an Art Educator. I love making connections with the students and building a sense of community each and every year. Watching the students develop as young adults and artists over the course of their high school career is the best part of being their teacher. I wish to cultivate learners that think like artists. Learners that are curious and who as questions, that are creative and can problem solve, develop ideas and not be afraid to step outside their comfort zone.
